Ramona High School Senior Class Information

2026-2027 

CAP AND GOWN

Caps and gowns are provided to all seniors for FREE. Students, you must complete your information at bit.ly/ramcapandgown while signed into your RUSD Google account. Please complete this information by January 8. Students who do not submit their sizing information will have to select a cap and gown from what is available on the day of distribution (May 20).

Accessories

Jostens can provide a variety of optional accessories (speciality tassels, announcements, rings, etc.). Our Jostens representative is Tyler Olin. Please go to bit.ly/ramjostens2027  for more information on optional items for purchase through Jostens (class rings, memorabilia, invitations, etc.).

Yearbook

A yearbook costs $75. You can purchase yearbooks at the finance office or using our online store at bit.ly/ramstore. A limited number of yearbooks are available this year, so buy yours before they sell out! Once they sell out there is no way for you to get a yearbook. Senior ads will be available for purchase later in the year, also at bit.ly/ramstore. Please email Mr. Ezcurra (pezcurra@riversideunified.org) with any questions about the yearbook.

EVENTS

Senior Sunrise (Friday 9/25 6:15am)

All seniors are invited to gather at the stadium to enjoy the sunrise together. The senior class will provide refreshments. (You will close out your senior year with senior sunset on May 20.)

Homecoming (Friday 10/9)

Carnival (1:30pm-2:30pm): Free games with prizes, clubs selling food.

Parade (2:30pm-3:00pm): Exits the front parking lot and heads down Magnolia to Jefferson (public on the sidewalk).

Game (6:30pm-9pm): vs Pacific

Dance (9pm-11pm): Tickets will be $5 or free with Activity Card (at the door).  This dance is open to current Ramona students only. 

Senior Assembly (Thursday 1/7 Office Hours)

All seniors will be required to attend the senior assembly in the theater during Office Hours on 1/7. Seniors will be given all of the information needed to complete their senior year. Seniors will be given their Class of 2027 lawn signs at The Spot from 2:30-4pm. Anyone who does not pick up their lawn sign at that time will need to stop at the main office for it.

Winter Gala (Friday 2/5  7pm-10pm)

Tickets will be $5 or free with Activity Card (at the door).  This dance is open to current Ramona students only. 

Prom (Saturday 4/10 8pm-midnight)

Tickets will be $50 from 3/19-3/26 and $60 afterwards. This dance is open to juniors and seniors and their guests. Guests must be in at least the 9th grade and UNDER 21. Sales end on 4/8, or when the event sells out, whichever comes first. Students and guests complete permission slips digitally at: bit.ly/ramprom27

Senior Awards Night (Thursday 5/13)

This celebration will take place in the theater on May 13 at 6pm. Students will be alerted if they are going to receive an award. Families are invited to attend as well.

Final Exams (Monday 5/17- Wednesday 5/19)

Senior final exams will take place during your regularly scheduled classes from May 17 to May 19. The bell schedules will not change on these days. Any Fs or incompletes that you have on this date will affect your graduation status. Students will turn in their chromebooks through Gov/Econ classes whenever possible.

 Check-Out (Thursday 5/20)

Your last day of school is Thursday, May 20. 8:30am - 3:20pm  You will attend all regularly scheduled classes. Only students with no 6th period can check out before 3:20. At 3:20pm you will report to the cafeteria. You will receive your cap and gown. All students should have their fines cleared and library items turned in prior to graduation practices.

Senior Sunset (Thursday 5/20 7-10pm)

You have one last opportunity to get together as the Class of 2027. You will eat together and have the opportunity to sit together on the field as you watch the sun set on your senior year. Then the music will come on and you will have the opportunity to dance and hang out with your friends. You will also receive your elementary school cumulative file photos, if they are available in your school file. The festivities will end at 10pm.

Senior Walk (Friday 5/21 9am-noon) *attendance required

All seniors will participate in the Senior Walk at Jefferson or Madison Elementary Schools.  We will meet at the gym at 9am. We will return by noon. Seniors wear their gown and walk through the halls whilst being cheered on by all the grade levels at Jefferson or Madison. It is an uplifting and positive event that inspires the young future Rams. 

Graduation Tickets (Friday 5/21 after the senior walk)

Graduation tickets (8 per student) will be distributed in the gym after we return from the senior walk. 

Graduation Practice (Monday 5/24, Tuesday 5/25) *attendance required

Practice will take place on May 24 (9am) and May 25 (9am). Each practice will take between two and three hours. You are required to remain until the end. Attendance at both practices is mandatory. Students who do not attend practice will not be allowed to participate in graduation. Practices will take place in the gym and at the stadium, so come prepared with water and sunscreen. You will be able to turn in chromebooks, library materials, and pay fines before and after graduation practice. 

Graduation (this date is tentative until board approval in December: Tuesday 5/25) *attendance required

Graduation will be from 6:30-8:00 pm on May 25. The gates to the stadium will open at 4:30pm. Please take pictures with your family prior to reporting to the gym at 4:30pm. Each graduate is allowed 8 tickets to graduation. No family members will be allowed into the gym or onto the football field. You must report to the gym in your cap and gown no later than 5:00. You may not alter your cap and gown in any fashion. You may not wear any additional items over your cap and gown other than those approved by Ramona High School. Do not bring any personal belongings with you. All bags and items other than your phone and sunglasses will need to be left in your car. 

Suggested attire under your gown: shirt & slacks or dress with sensible shoes. Avoid heels as they will make you unsteady when walking through the grass and turf.

Graduation Information for spectators

• The gates to the stadium will open at 4:30pm.
• All bags will be searched. Limit bags to 12 x 6 x 12 inches.
• No family members will be allowed onto the football field.
• No entry without a ticket. No re-entry permitted.
• Every person older than 4 years old needs a ticket. 
• Graduates with last names A-L will be seated on the left side of the field facing the stage. Spectators should sit on the "home" side of the stadium.
• Graduates with last names M-Z will be seated on the right side of the field facing the stage. Spectators should sit on the "away" side of the stadium.

The following items will not be permitted inside the stadium:

• Balloons
• Air horns or noise makers
• Food or drink
• Ice chests
• EZ Ups or umbrellas

After the ceremony is over, families will exit the stadium and gather on the grass field at THE FAMILY ZONE to meet students.

Diploma Pick Up (Wednesday 5/26) *attendance required

Diploma pick up will be from 9:00 am - 12 pm at the ticket booth at Ramona’s Stadium. Please bring your ID, and make sure that your fines are paid. How to check your fines

Grad Bash (Thursday, 5/27)

Grad Bash is at Universal Studios on May 27 from 3pm to 2am. You will be emailed when tickets go on sale. We anticipate that tickets will cost $107. This event is open to Ramona seniors. The buses will leave from Ramona’s back parking lot at 1:00pm and return to Ramona at approximately 4am. You must adhere to the Ramona dress code and Universal Studios rules of conduct. You must have a completed permission slip and the form acknowledging the rules for Grad Bash to purchase your ticket. Tickets can only be purchased in-person at the Finance Office.

SENIOR CONTRACT

RAMONA HIGH SCHOOL 

SENIOR ACTIVITIES AND GRADUATION CONTRACT 

I understand that as a senior at Ramona High School, it is my responsibility to adhere to the school guidelines and expectations presented in this contract. I understand that failing to adhere to these guidelines and expectations may disqualify me from receiving honors and recognition and from participation in school activities (e.g. Prom, Grad Night, Senior Sunset), including graduation. 

Second Semester 

I will abide by all directions received from school officials and rules stated within the student handbook while at school and throughout the senior activities and graduation ceremony. I understand that I must abide by the tardy policy and comply fully with the consequences for violations (e.g. detentions, Saturday school). All Saturday schools must be served two weeks prior to participation in any senior event. 

Any incident that does not adhere to the expectations in the student handbook may result in a loss of any or all privileges. Such violations include, but are not limited to, alcohol, drugs, weapons, theft, etc. 

I am expected to continue excellent behavior, effort, attendance, and academic standing throughout my senior year. Failure to do so may result in loss of recognition opportunities and may jeopardize the possibility of speaking during senior activities or graduation. Incidents such as, but not limited to, alcohol, drugs, theft, fighting, academic dishonesty (including cheating/plagiarism), and weapons will jeopardize my standing. 

Graduation 

✔ You must attend all graduation practices in their entirety in order to be eligible to participate in the graduation ceremony. 

✔ Attire: Shirt, slacks, dress, sensible shoes. 

✔ You may not alter your cap or gown in any way. (No flowers, no writing, no decorations, etc.) 

✔ You may not wear any additional items over your cap and gown. You may only wear stoles that are provided by Ramona High School. (Military stoles provided by a recruiter are also allowed.) 

✔ Do not bring any personal items with you (you may have sunglasses and phone). Leave all bags, hangers, etc. in your car. 

✔ You will be searched prior to entering the gym for the graduation ceremony. Leave all personal items in your car! 

✔ Possession or use of alcohol or drugs will result in immediate removal from the event. All students are subject to search, which may include a breathalyzer test. 

I have read the Senior Activities and Graduation Contract and understand that any violation of the contract can result in my elimination from senior activities and/or graduation.

Anuario

El anuario cuesta $75. Puede comprarlo en la oficina de finanzas o a través de nuestra tienda en línea en bit.ly/ramstore. Este año hay una cantidad limitada de ejemplares disponibles, ¡así que compre el suyo antes de que se agoten! Una vez agotadas las existencias, ya no será posible adquirir un anuario. EVENTOS

Amanecer de los alumnos de último año (viernes 25 de septiembre, 6:15 a. m.)

Todos los estudiantes de último año están invitados a reunirse en el estadio para disfrutar juntos del amanecer. La clase de último año ofrecerá refrigerios. (Cerrarán su último año con la ceremonia del atardecer el 20 de mayo).

Homecoming (viernes 9 de octubre)

Carnaval (1:30 p. m. – 2:30 p. m.): Juegos gratuitos con premios y venta de comida por parte de los clubes.

Desfile (2:30 p. m. – 3:00 p. m.): Sale del estacionamiento delantero y recorre la calle Magnolia hasta Jefferson (el público se ubica en la acera).

Partido (6:30 p. m. – 9:00 p. m.): Contra Pacific.

Baile (9:00 p. m. – 11:00 p. m.): Las entradas costarán $5 o serán gratuitas con la tarjeta de actividades (se pagan en la entrada). Este baile es exclusivo para los estudiantes actuales de Ramona.

Asamblea de estudiantes de último año (jueves 7 de enero, horario de atención)

Todos los estudiantes de último año deberán asistir a la asamblea para su promoción en el teatro durante el horario de atención (*Office Hours*) el 7 de enero. Se les proporcionará toda la información necesaria para completar su último año escolar. Asimismo, podrán recoger sus letreros de jardín de la "Clase de 2027" en *The Spot* entre las 2:30 p. m. y las 4:00 p. m. Quienes no recojan su letrero en ese horario deberán pasar por la oficina principal para obtenerlo.

Gala de Invierno (viernes 5 de febrero, de 19:00 a 22:00 h)

Las entradas costarán 5 $ o serán gratuitas con la tarjeta de actividades (en la entrada). Este baile es exclusivo para los alumnos actuales de Ramona.

Baile de graduación (sábado 10 de abril, de 8 p. m. a medianoche)

Las entradas costarán $50 del 19 al 26 de marzo y $60 después. Este baile está abierto a estudiantes de penúltimo y último año de secundaria y sus invitados. Los invitados deben estar cursando al menos el noveno grado y ser menores de 21 años. La venta de entradas finaliza el 8 de abril o cuando se agoten, lo que ocurra primero. Los estudiantes e invitados deben completar los formularios de autorización digitalmente en: bit.ly/ramprom27

Noche de Premiación para Estudiantes de Último Año (jueves 13 de mayo)

Esta celebración tendrá lugar en el teatro el 13 de mayo a las 6:00 p. m. Se notificará a los estudiantes si van a recibir un reconocimiento. También se invita a las familias a asistir.

Exámenes finales (lunes 17/5 – miércoles 19/5)

Los exámenes finales de los alumnos de último año se llevarán a cabo durante el horario habitual de clases, del 17 al 19 de mayo. Los horarios de los timbres no cambiarán durante esos días. Cualquier calificación de "F" (reprobatoria) o estado de "incompleto" que tengan para esa fecha afectará su situación de graduación. Los estudiantes entregarán sus Chromebooks a través de las clases de Gobierno/Economía siempre que sea posible.

 Salida (jueves 20/5)

El último día de clases es el jueves 20 de mayo, de 8:30 a. m. a 3:20 p. m. Asistirás a todas las clases programadas habitualmente. Solo los estudiantes que no tienen clase en el sexto periodo pueden retirarse antes de las 3:20 p. m. A las 3:20 p. m. deberás presentarte en la cafetería, donde recibirás tu toga y birrete.  Todos los estudiantes deben haber saldado sus multas y devuelto los materiales de la biblioteca antes de los ensayos de graduación.

Atardecer de los Graduandos (jueves 20 de mayo, de 7:00 p. m. a 10:00 p. m.)

Tienen una última oportunidad para reunirse como la promoción de 2027. Comerán juntos y tendrán la ocasión de sentarse en el campo mientras contemplan el atardecer de su último año escolar. Después, comenzará la música y podrán bailar y pasar un rato agradable con sus amigos. También recibirán las fotografías de sus expedientes acumulativos de la escuela primaria, siempre que estas se encuentren disponibles en su archivo escolar. Las actividades concluirán a las 10:00 p. m.

Caminata de los estudiantes de último año (viernes 21 de mayo, de 9:00 a. m. a mediodía) *asistencia obligatoria

Todos los estudiantes de último año participarán en el "Senior Walk" (desfile de graduandos) en las escuelas primarias Jefferson o Madison. Nos reuniremos en el gimnasio a las 9:00 a. m. y regresaremos para el mediodía. Los estudiantes vestirán sus togas y recorrerán los pasillos mientras reciben los ánimos de los alumnos de todos los grados de Jefferson o Madison. Es un evento inspirador y positivo que motiva a los jóvenes futuros "Rams".

Entradas para la graduación (viernes 21 de mayo, después del recorrido de los graduandos)

Las entradas para la graduación (8 por estudiante) se distribuirán en el gimnasio después de que regresemos del recorrido de los estudiantes de último año.

Ensayo de graduación (lunes 24/5, martes 25/5) *asistencia obligatoria

Los ensayos se llevarán a cabo el 24 de mayo (a las 9:00 a. m.) y el 25 de mayo (a las 9:00 a. m.). Cada ensayo durará entre dos y tres horas; es obligatorio permanecer allí hasta el final. La asistencia a ambos ensayos es obligatoria. Los estudiantes que no asistan a los ensayos no podrán participar en la ceremonia de graduación. Los ensayos tendrán lugar en el gimnasio y en el estadio, así que vengan preparados con agua y protector solar. Podrán entregar los Chromebooks y el material de la biblioteca, así como pagar multas, antes y después de los ensayos de graduación.

Graduación (esta fecha es provisional hasta la aprobación de la junta en diciembre: martes 25 de mayo) *asistencia obligatoria

La ceremonia de graduación se llevará a cabo el 25 de mayo, de 6:30 p. m. a 8:00 p. m. Las puertas del estadio se abrirán a las 4:30 p. m. Por favor, tómese fotos con su familia antes de presentarse en el gimnasio a las 4:30 p. m. Cada graduado dispone de 8 entradas para la ceremonia. No se permitirá el acceso de familiares al gimnasio ni al campo de fútbol americano. Debe presentarse en el gimnasio con su toga y birrete a más tardar a las 5:00 p. m. No está permitido modificar la toga ni el birrete de ninguna manera. Tampoco se permite llevar prendas adicionales sobre la toga y el birrete, a menos que hayan sido aprobadas por Ramona High School. No traiga consigo objetos personales; deberá dejar en su automóvil cualquier bolso u objeto que no sea su teléfono o sus gafas de sol.

Vestimenta sugerida debajo de la toga: camisa y pantalón de vestir o vestido, con calzado cómodo y práctico. Evite los tacones, ya que le restarán estabilidad al caminar sobre el césped natural y artificial.

Información sobre la graduación para los espectadores

• Las puertas del estadio se abrirán a las 4:30 p. m.
• Se revisarán todas las bolsas. El tamaño máximo permitido para las bolsas es de 12 x 6 x 12 pulgadas.
• No se permitirá el acceso de familiares al campo de fútbol americano.
• No se permite la entrada sin boleto. No se permite volver a entrar una vez que se haya salido.
• Toda persona mayor de 4 años necesita boleto.
• Los graduados con apellidos de la A a la L se ubicarán en el lado izquierdo del campo, frente al escenario. Los espectadores deben sentarse en el lado del estadio correspondiente al equipo local ("home").
• Los graduados con apellidos de la M a la Z se ubicarán en el lado derecho del campo, frente al escenario. Los espectadores deben sentarse en el lado del estadio correspondiente al equipo visitante ("away").

No se permitirán los siguientes artículos dentro del estadio:

• Globos
• Bocinas de aire o artefactos ruidosos
• Comida o bebida
• Neveras portátiles
• Carpas plegables o sombrillas

Una vez finalizada la ceremonia, las familias saldrán del estadio y se reunirán en el campo de césped, en la «Family Zone», para encontrarse con los estudiantes.

Recogida de diplomas (miércoles 26 de mayo) *asistencia obligatoria

La entrega de diplomas se realizará de 9:00 a. m. a 12:00 p. m. en la taquilla del estadio Ramona. Por favor, traiga su identificación y asegúrese de haber pagado las multas pendientes. Cómo consultar tus multas

Grad Bash (jueves, 27 de mayo)

El evento Grad Bash se llevará a cabo en Universal Studios el 27 de mayo, de 3:00 p. m. a 2:00 a. m. Se les notificará por correo electrónico cuando las entradas salgan a la venta. Se prevé que el costo de las entradas sea de $107. Este evento está abierto a los estudiantes de último año de Ramona. Los autobuses saldrán del estacionamiento trasero de Ramona a la 1:00 p. m. y regresarán a la escuela aproximadamente a las 4:00 a. m. Es obligatorio cumplir con el código de vestimenta de Ramona y con las normas de conducta de Universal Studios. Para comprar la entrada, deberá presentar la autorización firmada y el formulario de aceptación de las normas del evento Grad Bash. Las entradas solo se pueden comprar personalmente en la Oficina de Finanzas.

CONTRATO PARA ALUMNOS DEL ÚLTIMO AÑO

LA PREPARATORIA RAMONA

CONTRATO DE GRADUACIÓN Y ACTIVIDADES DEL ÚLTIMO AÑO

Entiendo que como alumno del último año en la Preparatoria Ramona, es mi responsabilidad adherirme a las pautas y expectativas de la escuela presentadas en este contrato. Entiendo que no adherirme a estas pautas y expectativas puede descalificarme para recibir honores y reconocimientos y para participar en las actividades escolares (por ejemplo, el baile de graduación, la noche de graduación, la puesta de sol del último año), incluyendo la graduación.

Segundo Semestre

Cumpliré con las indicaciones que he recibido de los funcionarios escolares y los reglamentos indicados en el manual para alumnos mientras esté en la escuela y durante todas las actividades para alumnos del último año y la graduación. Entiendo que es obligatorio cumplir con la política de tardanza y cumpliré plenamente con la consecuencia de los quebrantos (por ejemplo detenciones, escuela sabatina). Deben de cumplir con todas las escuelas sabatinas dos semanas antes de participar en cualquier evento para alumnos del último año.

Cualquier incidente que no cumpla con las expectativas en el manual estudiantil resultará en la pérdida de alguno o todos los privilegios. Tales quebrantos incluyen, pero no se limitan a, alcohol, drogas, armas, robo, etc.

Se espera que continúe con un excelente comportamiento, esfuerzo, asistencia y posición académica a lo largo de mi último año. El no hacerlo puede resultar en la pérdida de oportunidades de reconocimiento y puede poner en peligro la posibilidad de hablar durante las actividades del último año o la graduación. Incidentes tales como, pero no limitados a, alcohol, drogas, robo, peleas, deshonestidad académica (incluyendo trampas/plagio), y armas pondrán en peligro mi posición. Graduación

✔ Tienes que asistir a todas las prácticas en su totalidad para ser elegible para participar en la ceremonia de graduación.

✔ Atuendo: camisa, pantalones, zapatos adecuados.

✔ No se puede alterar la toga y el birrete de ninguna manera (no se permiten flores, palabras, decoraciones, etc.)

✔ No debe poner ningún artículo por encima de su toga y birrete. Solo debe de usar estolas proporcionadas por la Prepaaratoria Ramona. (Estolas militares proporcionadas por un reclutador sí se permiten).

✔ No debe de traer ningún artículo personal (puede usar lentes de sol y teléfono). Dejen toda bolsa, colgador, etc. en su automóvil.

✔ Te vamos a registrar antes de entrar al gimnasio para la ceremonia de graduación. ¡Deja todos tus artículos personales en tu automóvil!

✔ La posesión o el uso de alcohol o drogas resultará en la eliminación inmediata del evento. Todo alumno está sujeto a un registro, lo cual podrá incluir una prueba de un alcoholímetro.

He leído el contrato de actividades de último año y graduación y entiendo que cualquier quebranto del contrato podrá resultar en mí eliminación de actividades y/o graduación.

Firmarás y entregarás este contrato a la oficina de disciplina en enero.
