CAP AND GOWN
CAP AND GOWN
Caps and gowns are provided to all seniors for FREE. You must complete your
information http://bit.ly/ramonagrad2020 while signed into your RUSD Google
account. Please complete this information by January 10. Students who do not
submit their sizing information by January 10 will have to select a cap and
gown from what is available on the day of delivery.
PURCHASES
All events and items listed below that require any sort of payment need to be purchased in the finance office.
Ms. Anderson is the bookkeeper in the finance office. She will handle all fines and payments for events and
items. The last day to make a payment for anything using a check is Thursday, April 23.
All payments made after this date must be made in cash, credit card, or by money order.

A yearbook costs $85. Buy your yearbook online at www.yearbookforever.com or in the finance office up
until May 10 or they are sold out, whichever comes first. A limited number of yearbooks are available
this year. When they sell out there is no way for you to get a yearbook. (If they do not sell out, you can

EVENTS
➢ Festival of the Arts (Friday 2/7)
Senior soloists will highlight their talents on February 7 at 6:30 in the theater.

➢ Prom (Saturday 4/11)
Tickets will be $50 until 4/3 and $60 after 4/3. All students need a permission slip. You may take a guest
(they need a guest permission slip). Your guest must be in at least the 9th grade and UNDER 21. You
must pay at least $40 of your fines before buying a ticket. Ticket sales will then open to everyone until
April 9, or until the event sells out, whichever comes first.

➢ Senior Awards Night (Thursday 5/14)
This celebration will take place in the theater on May 14 at 6pm. Students will be alerted if they are going
to receive an award. Parents are invited to attend as well.

➢ Final Exams (Monday 5/18- Wednesday 5/20)
Senior final exams will take place during your regularly scheduled classes from May 18 to May 20.

➢ Check-Out (Thursday 5/21)
Your last day of school is Thursday, May 21.
7am: Pick up your check-out sheet from the guidance office.
8am-2:50pm: Attend all regularly scheduled classes. Teachers will sign off at the end of each period.
(Only students with no 6th period can check out before 2:50).
2:50pm: Report to the cafeteria. You will receive your cap and gown after turning in your check-out card.

➢ Senior Sunset (Thursday 5/21)
You have one last opportunity to get together as the Class of 2020. We will begin at 7pm in the stadium.
You will receive a delicious meal and the opportunity to sit and eat with your friends. You will then have
the opportunity to sit together on the field. A senior will be selected to share their thoughts about the
journey through high school. Together, you will watch as the sun sets on your senior year. Then the
music will come on and you will have the opportunity to dance and hang out with your friends. You will
also receive your elementary school cumulative file photos if they are available. The festivities will end at
10pm.

➢ Senior Walk (Friday 5/22)
Students who are interested may sign up to participate in the Senior Walk at Madison Elementary School.
Seniors wear their cap and gown and walk through the halls whilst being cheered on by all the grade
levels at Madison. It is an uplifting and positive event that inspires the young future Rams. You can sign
up in your Gov/Econ class in April. The walk will be from 8am to 10am.

➢ Graduation Practice (Tuesday 5/26, Wednesday 5/27)
Practice will take place on May 26 (9am) and May 27 (9am). Each practice will take between two and
three hours. You are required to remain until the end. Attendance at both practices is mandatory.
Students who do not attend practice will not be allowed to participate in graduation. Practices will take
place in the gym and at the stadium, so come prepared with water and sunscreen.

➢ Graduation (Wednesday 5/27)
Graduation will be from 6:00-7:30pm on May 27. The gates to the stadium will open at 4pm. Please take
pictures with your family prior to reporting to the gym at 4pm. No family members will be allowed into the
gym or onto the football field. You must report to the gym in your cap and gown no later than 4:30. You
may not alter your cap and gown in any fashion. You may not wear any additional items over your cap and
gown other than those provided to you by Ramona High School. Do not bring any personal belongings with
you. Suggested attire: shirt & slacks, dress, sensible shoes (not high heels or flip flops).

➢ Grad-Night (Thursday 5/28)
Grad-Night is at Universal Studios on May 28 from 3pm to 2am. Tickets are on sale now and will be
available until April 24 or until they sell out, whichever comes first. Tickets cost $85. This event is open to
Ramona seniors only. The buses will leave from Ramona’s front parking lot at 1pm and return to Ramona
at approximately 4am. You must adhere to the Ramona dress code and Universal Studios rules of
conduct. You must have a completed permission slip to purchase your ticket. Tickets are non-refundable
and will not be available after April 24 or if tickets sell out, so buy your ticket early. You may also place a
$20 non-refundable down payment to hold a place for you, but the ticket must be paid in full no later than
April 24. Before purchasing a ticket you will need to sign up on Remind by texting the code @GoBlue-20
